Job Summary
Provide nursing care to a defined group of patients in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment acting similarly to a free-standing emergency department. Use the nursing process to assess needs, develop written care plans, and prioritize interventions for neonates through geriatrics. Collaborate with providers and staff to coordinate services, manage admissions, and conduct discharge planning. Teach patients and families on health goals, risk factors, and preventive measures while adhering to Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of Washington standards for documentation, infection control, and safety. Maintain ongoing evaluation of patient responses and modify care plans as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree in Nursing from an accredited program
- Registered Nurse License (Washington) required at hire OR Compact License: Registered Nurse required at hire
- Basic Life Support required at hire
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 6 months of hire
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support required at hire
- Communication, problem-solving, leadership and decision-making skills
Desired Qualifications
- Ambulatory care nursing experience
- Primary nursing or case-management experience
- Bachelor of science in Nursing (BSN)
- Emergency department nursing experience
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support at hire
