Job Summary
Emergency Department & Electrocardiography Tech provides basic patient care procedures and supports emergency care delivery. The role includes performing EKGs and submitting tracings into Tracemaster and the EMR, transcribing verbal orders for ECGs, collecting blood specimens, transporting patients, and maintaining a safe, organized ED environment. The position requires collaboration with nurses, physicians, and multidisciplinary teams, adherence to infection control policies, and participation in competency-based trainings and unit-based committees under RN supervision.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Ability to follow safety policies, infection control protocols, and chain-of-command procedures.
- Strong communication skills and reliability in completing assigned tasks.
