Emergency Department Clinical Nurse

Conduct direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within emergency department guidelines. Educate patients and families on illness management, post-treatment home care, and medication administration while promoting patient safety and regulatory compliance. Develop, implement, and document individual plans of care with defined goals in collaboration with the interprofessional team, ensuring communication across the continuum of care. Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs according to standards of nursing care, accounting for patient preferences and cultural values. This safety-sensitive position requires constant alertness and is located at Alton Memorial Hospital in Alton, Illinois, serving a five-county area with a 24-hour emergency department.
