Emergency Department Clinical Nurse

Provides direct patient care in the Emergency Department, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care within established standards. Promotes patient and family-centered care, educates patients and families on illness/injury management and post-treatment home care, and administers medications. Partners with interdisciplinary team to develop and document individualized care plans, communicate plans across the care continuum, and support patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. Demonstrates critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs and to address patient preferences and barriers to involvement in care. This is a safety-sensitive nursing role supporting acute care in a high-acuity ED setting.
