Job Summary
Lead a specific business/clinical unit(s) by supporting the nurse manager, engaging staff in shared governance decision-making, and ensuring clinical processes work as intended. Act as a resource for all staff, accept additional responsibilities during the manager's absence, and hold point-of-care personnel accountable for performance standards through effective communication and observation. Collaborate on budget development, monitor fiscal outcomes, and implement lean quality skills to reduce waste while promoting evidence-based practice and performance improvement. Mentor others, foster teamwork with physicians and departments, and model professional nursing leadership to drive recruitment, retention, and service excellence goals.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors Nursing or Masters Nursing
- RN - Reg Nurse (Single State) or RN-COMPACT - RN - Multi-state Compact
- BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS - Amer Red Cross Basic Life Support or BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor
- National certification in nursing administration
- Minimum 3 years of clinical experience
