Emergency Department Assistant Nurse Manager

Manage individual nurses by hiring, training, assigning work, and evaluating performance to meet departmental operational goals. Coordinate patient care according to planned interventions, document actions per policy, and create collaborative care plans based on assessment and diagnosis. Participate in developing departmental budgets, respond to business changes affecting financial targets, and support staff hour reviews. Perform payroll updates, reconcile time cards, approve bonus tracking, and coordinate staff communications including huddle agendas and meetings. Determine staffing needs, assign overtime, interview for open positions, and conduct performance reviews with corrective actions as needed.
