Job Summary
Maintain a clear pulse on patient status, team bandwidth, and shift-wide needs while managing daily workflow and pivoting when the unexpected hits. Ensure shift roles are assigned and adapted as needed, then jump on the floor to assist with tasks of any size. Coordinate breaks, resolve conflicts, and model calm under pressure during team huddles, transitions, and daily wrap-ups. Communicate clearly to direct questions appropriately and elevate key issues to leadership regarding coverage and coaching. Flag incidents with a mindset of transparency and growth, helping the team turn downtime into learning time.
Required Qualifications
- Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT, RVT, LVT, LVMT)
- 1+ years of experience in a veterinary technician or assistant role
- Basic computer skills
- Comprehension of practice management software
- Electronic medical record keeping
- Fine motor skills for handling patients and medical equipment
- Ability to stand for prolonged hours
- Ability to kneel
- Ability to work on the floor
- Ability to lift up to 25 kg on own
- Ability to support up to 40 kg with assistance
- Willingness to work in a noisy environment
- Willingness to work with strong or unpleasant odors
- Availability to work nights
- Availability to work weekends
