Job Summary

Maintain shift rhythm by tracking patient status, team bandwidth, and workflow needs while assigning roles and adapting to unexpected changes. Lead team huddles, transitions, and end-of-day wrap-ups; coordinate breaks, resolve conflicts, and model calm under pressure. Jump on the floor for assistance, elevate key issues, and convert downtime into learning opportunities. Flag incidents with transparency and collaborate with leadership on coverage and coaching. Work nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating basis in a fast-paced, noisy environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT, RVT, LVT, LVMT)
  • 1+ years of experience in a veterinary technician or assistant role
  • Basic computer skills
  • comprehension of practice management software
  • electronic medical record keeping
  • Fine motor skills for handling patients and medical equipment
  • Ability to stand for prolonged hours

  • ability to lift up to 25 kg on own
  • able to support up to 40 kg with assistance
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating or as needed basis based on hospital needs

Desired Qualifications

  • Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT, RVT, LVT, LVMT) or enrolled in the VEG Credentialing Support Program preferred
