Job Summary
Keep a clear pulse on patient status, team bandwidth, and shift-wide needs while managing daily workflow and pivoting when the unexpected hits. Ensure shift roles are assigned and adapted as needed, then jump on the floor to assist with tasks, coordinate breaks, and resolve conflicts. Lead shift transitions, team huddles, and wrap-ups while communicating clearly to direct questions and elevate key issues. Flag incidents with a mindset of transparency and growth, and work with hospital leadership on coverage and ongoing coaching.
Required Qualifications
- Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT, RVT, LVT, LVMT)
- 1+ years of experience in a veterinary technician or assistant role
- Basic computer skills
- Comprehension of practice management software
- Electronic medical record keeping
- Fine motor skills for handling patients and medical equipment
- Ability to stand for prolonged hours
- Ability to kneel
- Ability to work on the floor
- Ability to lift up to 25 kg on own
- Ability to support up to 40 kg with assistance
- Willingness to work in a noisy environment
- Willingness to work with strong or unpleasant odors
- Availability to work nights
- Availability to work weekends
- Availability to work holidays
