Job Summary
Triage, treat, and monitor patients through diagnostics, anesthesia, and critical care nursing from arrival to discharge. Deliver IVs, blood transfusions, central lines, and endoscopy while performing CPR and managing imaging and sample collection. Collaborate with doctors to shape care plans and provide emotional support to pet parents during emergencies. Work nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating basis in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associate's degree or higher in veterinary technology from an AVMA accredited program
- Credentialed as a Veterinary Technician (CVT, RVT, LVT, LVMT) in the state the VEG practice is located
- 1+ years of experience in a veterinary technician role
- Basic computer skills
- Comprehension of practice management software
- Electronic medical record keeping
- Excellent communicator
- Calm under pressure
- Fine motor skills for handling patients and medical equipment
- Ability to stand for prolonged hours
- Ability to kneel
- Ability to work on the floor
- Ability to lift up to 25 kg on own
- Ability to support up to 40 kg with assistance
