Job Summary

Triage, treat, and monitor patients from first arrival to discharge, managing IVs, CRIs, blood transfusions, and anesthesia for fragile cases. Perform diagnostics, imaging, sample collection, and tube placement while providing emotional support to pet parents during critical moments. Execute CPR and critical care nursing protocols, collaborating with doctors to deliver comprehensive emergency care. Work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed in a fast-paced, noisy environment with strong odors, standing for prolonged periods and lifting up to 25 kg independently.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Associate's degree or higher in veterinary technology from an AVMA accredited program
  • Credentialed as a veterinary technician (CVT, RVT, LVT, LVMT) in the state the VEG practice is located
  • 1+ years of experience in a veterinary technician role
  • Basic computer skills
  • Comprehension of practice management software
  • Electronic medical record keeping
  • Excellent communicator
  • Calm under pressure
  • Fine motor skills for handling patients and medical equipment
  • Ability to stand for prolonged hours
  • Ability to kneel
  • Ability to work on the floor
  • Ability to lift up to 25 kg on own
