Job Summary
Triage, treat, and monitor patients through critical care nursing, anesthesia, and diagnostics including imaging, ultrasounds, and endoscopy. Deliver IV therapies, blood transfusions, and central lines while performing CPR and managing CRIs. Collect samples, place tubes, and provide emotional support to pet parents during high-stakes emergencies. Collaborate with doctors to execute care plans from first triage to discharge in a fast-paced, open-concept environment. Work nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating basis.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associate's degree or higher in veterinary technology from an AVMA accredited program
- Credentialed as a veterinary technician (CVT, RVT, LVT, LVMT) in the state the VEG practice is located
- 1+ years of experience in a veterinary technician role
- Basic computer skills
- Comprehension of practice management software
- Electronic medical record keeping
- Ability to stand for prolonged hours
- Ability to kneel
- Ability to work on the floor
- Ability to lift up to 25 kg on own
- Ability to support up to 40 kg with assistance
- Willingness to work in a noisy environment
- Willingness to work with strong or unpleasant odors
