Job Summary

Triage, treat, and monitor patients through all stages of emergency care, from first aid to discharge. Deliver nursing care, administer medications including IVs and CRIs, and perform diagnostics, imaging, and sample collection. Manage anesthesia, place central lines, and assist with endoscopy and ultrasounds. Provide emotional support to pet parents while collaborating with doctors to deliver comprehensive care. Perform CPR and critical care nursing in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment. Work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed, standing for prolonged periods and lifting up to 25 kg.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Associate's degree or higher in veterinary technology from an AVMA accredited program
  • Credentialed as a veterinary technician (CVT, RVT, LVT, LVMT) in the state the VEG practice is located
  • 1+ years of experience in a veterinary technician role
  • Basic computer skills
  • Comprehension of practice management software
  • Electronic medical record keeping
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Fine motor skills for handling patients and medical equipment
  • Ability to stand for prolonged hours
  • Ability to kneel
  • Ability to work on the floor
  • Ability to lift up to 25 kg on own
  • Ability to support up to 40 kg with assistance
  • Willingness to work in a noisy environment
