Job Summary
Per diem Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician role in Franklin, TN. The VEG position involves front-line emergency veterinary care across high-volume ER settings, with duties spanning triage, nursing care, anesthesia/monitoring, diagnostics, and critical care nursing. Candidates should be credentialed Veterinary Technicians (CVT/RVT/LVT/LVMT) with 1+ year of experience, and availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating basis. The role emphasizes compassionate patient- and client-facing support, teamwork with doctors, and ongoing professional growth in a fast-paced emergency environment. AVMA-accredited program education is strongly preferred; state credentialing as a veterinary technician is required in the practice location. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associate’s degree or higher in veterinary technology from an AVMA accredited program strongly preferred
- Credentialed as a veterinary technician (CVT, RVT, LVT, LVMT) in the state the VEG practice is located
- VTS in ECC, internal medicine or anesthesia/analgesia a plus
- 1+ years of experience in a veterinary technician role; emergency or specialty medicine preferred
- Basic computer skills and EMR proficiency
- Excellent communication and ability to remain calm under pressure
- Fine motor skills; ability to lift up to 25 kg and assist up to 40 kg
- Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating/ as-needed basis
