Job Summary
Part-time Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician role in Frisco, TX. You’ll be on the front lines of veterinary ER care, handling a wide range of cases from triage to critical care nursing, collaborating with doctors to deliver gold-standard care. Responsibilities include nursing care, treatments, and emotional support from first triage to discharge; administering meds and monitoring (IVs and CRIs, blood transfusions, anesthesia); assisting with diagnostics, imaging, and procedures (central lines, endoscopy, ultrasounds); CPR readiness with RECOVER training; and contributing to patient and client support. Requirements include a CVT/RVT/LVT/LVMT credential in the practice state, AVMA-accredited program preferred, 1+ year ER or emergency experience, strong communication, ability to lift up to 25 kg solo and 40 kg with assistance, and availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree or higher in veterinary technology from an AVMA accredited program strongly preferred
- Credentialed as a veterinary technician (CVT, RVT, LVT, LVMT) in the state the VEG practice is located
- 1+ years of experience in a veterinary technician role; emergency or specialty medicine preferred
- Basic computer skills and understanding of practice management software and EMR
- Excellent communication and calm under pressure
- Ability to stand for prolonged hours, lift up to 25 kg alone and up to 40 kg with assistance
- Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating schedule
