Job Summary
Triage, treat, and monitor patients through the full spectrum of emergency care, from minor issues to complex critical cases. Deliver nursing care, administer medications and blood transfusions, and perform diagnostics including imaging, ultrasounds, and sample collection. Manage anesthesia for fragile patients, place central lines and endotracheal tubes, and perform CPR as a trained RECOVER professional. Collaborate with doctors to execute treatment plans while providing emotional support to pet parents during stressful moments. Maintain electronic medical records and practice management software proficiency. Work nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating basis in a fast-paced, noisy environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associate's degree or higher in veterinary technology from an AVMA accredited program
- Credentialed as a Veterinary Technician (CVT, RVT, LVT, LVMT) in the state the VEG practice is located
- 1+ years of experience in a veterinary technician role
- Basic computer skills
- Comprehension of practice management software
- Electronic medical record keeping
- Ability to stand for prolonged hours
- Ability to kneel
- Ability to work on the floor
- Ability to lift up to 25 kg on own
- Ability to support up to 40 kg with assistance
- Willingness to work in a noisy environment
- Willingness to work with strong or unpleasant odors

Desired Qualifications
- Associate's degree or higher in veterinary technology from an AVMA accredited program (strongly preferred)
- Experience in emergency or specialty medicine
- Credentialed VTS in ECC, internal medicine or anesthesia/analgesia
