Job Summary

Triage, treat, and monitor patients from minor to complex emergencies, performing diagnostics, imaging, sample collection, and advanced procedures including central lines, endoscopy, and ultrasounds. Deliver nursing care, anesthesia, and critical support while managing IVs, CRIs, and blood transfusions. Collaborate with doctors to execute treatment plans, perform CPR, and provide emotional support to pet parents during stressful moments. Work nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating basis in a fast-paced, open-concept environment.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Associate's degree or higher in veterinary technology from an AVMA accredited program
  • Credentialed as a Veterinary Technician (CVT, RVT, LVT, LVMT) in the state the VEG practice is located
  • 1+ years of experience in a veterinary technician role
  • Basic computer skills
  • Comprehension of practice management software
  • Electronic medical record keeping
  • Excellent communicator
  • Calm under pressure
  • Fine motor skills for handling patients and medical equipment
  • Ability to stand for prolonged hours
  • Ability to kneel
  • Ability to work on the floor
  • Ability to lift up to 25 kg on own
  • Ability to support up to 40 kg with assistance

Desired Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or higher in veterinary technology from an AVMA accredited program (strongly preferred)
  • Experience in emergency or specialty medicine
