Job Summary
Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician needed in Littleton, CO to join a 24/7 emergency veterinary team. You’ll perform triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing across a wide range of cases (including exotics). Responsibilities include delivering nursing care and emotional support from triage to discharge, administering medications and fluids (IVs, CRIs, blood transfusions), maintaining patient monitoring, and supporting doctors in care plans. You’ll perform CPR (RECOVER-certified program presence), utilize diagnostics and imaging tools (including ultrasound and endoscopy), and employ advanced techniques (central lines, endoscopy, ultrasounds) as needed. The role requires strong communication with teammates and clients, leadership in care flow, and a commitment to compassionate, high-quality emergency care. Must be credentialed (CVT/RVT/LVT/LVMT) and have 1+ year of veterinary technician experience, preferably in emergency or specialty settings. Nights, weekends, and holidays are on a rotating/on-call basis. Competitive hourly compensation ($25.00-$32.00/hr) plus benefits, CE stipends, travel support, and growth opportunities within VEG.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associate’s degree or higher in veterinary technology from an AVMA accredited program strongly preferred
- Credentialed as a Veterinary Technician (CVT, RVT, LVT, LVMT) in the state the VEG practice is located is required
- 1+ years of experience in a veterinary technician role; experience in emergency or specialty medicine preferred
- Basic computer skills and comprehension of practice management software and electronic medical records
