Job Summary
Conduct triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, and critical care nursing for a wide range of emergency cases, from minor to complex. Administer medications including IVs and CRIs, perform blood transfusions, and manage advanced procedures such as central lines, endoscopy, and ultrasounds. Deliver emotional support to pet parents while maintaining steady, compassionate presence throughout the patient journey from admission to discharge. This full-time role requires night, weekend, and holiday shifts on a rotating basis. Candidates must be credentialed as a Veterinary Technician with at least one year of experience, holding an associate's degree or higher from an AVMA-accredited program.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associate's degree or higher in veterinary technology from an AVMA accredited program
- Credentialed as a Veterinary Technician (CVT, RVT, LVT, LVMT) in the state the VEG practice is located
- 1+ years of experience in a veterinary technician role
- Basic computer skills
- Comprehension of practice management software
- Electronic medical record keeping

- Ability to stand for prolonged hours
