Job Summary
Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician needed in Charlotte, NC to join VEG’s 24/7 emergency hospitals. You’ll handle a wide range of cases from minor to complex emergencies, perform triage, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing, and support pet parents. Requirements include AVMA-accredited associate degree in veterinary technology and state credentialing (CVT/RVT/LVT/LVMT), 1+ year of veterinary technician experience (emergency/spé preferred), strong communication, endurance for a fast-paced and noisy ER, ability to stand/kneel/lift up to 25 kg (with assistance up to 40 kg), and availability for nights, weekends, and holidays. Responsibilities include nursing care, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, CPR, imaging, sample collection, and placing tubes, with opportunities for growth, mentorship, and CE/travel stipend. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associate’s degree or higher in veterinary technology from an AVMA accredited program
- Credentialed as a Veterinary Technician (CVT, RVT, LVT, LVMT) in the state the VEG practice is located
- 1+ years of experience in a veterinary technician role; experience in emergency or specialty medicine preferred
