Job Summary

Triage, treat, and monitor patients from minor to complex emergencies, delivering nursing care, treatments, and emotional support from triage to discharge. Perform diagnostics, imaging, sample collection, and place tubes while managing anesthesia for fragile patients. Administer medications including IVs, CRIs, and blood transfusions, and execute CPR protocols. Collaborate with doctors to shape care plans and maintain steady communication throughout critical moments. Work nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating basis in a fast-paced, noisy environment.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Associate's degree or higher in veterinary technology from an AVMA accredited program
  • Credentialed as a Veterinary Technician (CVT, RVT, LVT, LVMT) in the state the VEG practice is located
  • 1+ years of experience in a veterinary technician role
  • Basic computer skills
  • Comprehension of practice management software
  • Electronic medical record keeping
  • Excellent communicator
  • Calm under pressure
  • Fine motor skills for handling patients and medical equipment
  • Ability to stand for prolonged hours
  • Ability to kneel
  • Ability to work on the floor
  • Ability to lift up to 25 kg on own
  • Ability to support up to 40 kg with assistance
