Job Summary
Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician needed to join VEG's 24/7 veterinary emergency teams. You will handle a wide range of cases from triage to discharge, including anesthesia, monitoring, IVs/CRIs, blood transfusions, CPR, diagnostics, imaging, endoscopy, and ultrasound. Requires credentialed veterinary technician (CVT/RVT/LVT/LVMT) in the practice state; AVMA-accredited program strongly preferred. Must have 1+ year of experience in a veterinary technician role, with emergency or specialty medicine experience preferred. Expect to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associate’s degree or higher in veterinary technology from an AVMA accredited program strongly preferred
- Credentialed as a Veterinary Technician (CVT, RVT, LVT, LVMT) in the state the VEG practice is located
- VTS in ECC, internal medicine or anesthesia/analgesia is a plus
- 1+ years of experience in a veterinary technician role; emergency or specialty medicine preferred
- Basic computer skills and EMR/practice management software familiarity
- Excellent communication and ability to work under pressure
- Ability to stand for prolonged hours, lift up to 25 kg unaided and up to 40 kg with assistance
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays on rotating or as needed basis
