Job Summary
Welcome clients, escort them to exam rooms, and serve as the communication liaison between emergency clinicians, technicians, and clients throughout their visit. Collect and verify patient history, referring veterinarian information, and medical records in ezyVet. Coordinate admissions, treatment approvals, and communication with the emergency medical team while monitoring client locations during extended wait times. Prepare, review, and explain treatment plans and financial estimates, including deposits and financing options like CareCredit. Review invoices prior to discharge and assist families with euthanasia paperwork. Support emergency intake for critical patients by gathering brief histories and discussing CPR status. Manage client communications and documentation within ezyVet and SmartFlow.
Required Qualifications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt to a variety of client situations
- Exceptional customer service skills and a compassionate, empathetic approach
- Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities
- Ability to remain calm, professional, and composed in a fast-paced emergency environment
- Experience working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate documentation
- Proficiency with computer systems
- Must be available to work in Honolulu, Hawaii
- Must be able to lift and move patients or equipment in an emergency setting (implied by 'escort them to exam rooms', 'coordinate admissions', 'support emergency intake')
