Job Summary
Analyst or Associate in J.P. Morgan’s Central Bank Sales desk in Paris; deliver end-to-end coverage for central banks and public institutions, connect client needs to rates solutions, collaborate with trading and research, and drive the full sales cycle from engaging clients to booking trades.Responsibilities include supporting rates sales for institutional clients, responding to day-to-day client needs with speed and accuracy, preparing presentation materials and participating in deal pitches, analyzing market drivers to advise clients, adhering to risk policies and regulatory requirements, ensuring post-trade accuracy, and communicating desk ideas clearly to clients and senior management.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in institutional sales within an investment bank
- Knowledge of rates products, including bonds, swaps, and options
- Fluency in English; professional communication skills in client settings
- Proficiency with market and product concepts, including pricing and models
- Understanding of risk types and practical approaches to managing them
- Strong grasp of relevant market drivers and ability to explain movements
- Knowledge of the transaction lifecycle and execution processes
- Ability to stay focused under competitive pressures and prioritize client needs
- Clear, concise communication skills—verbal and written—with tailored messaging
- Ability to interact comfortably with clients and senior management
- Self-directed, motivated, and able to work independently within a team
- Additional European language fluency
- Prior coverage experience with central banks or public sector institutions
- Familiarity with pricing tools and analytics used in rates markets
- Experience collaborating directly with trading and research on client strategies
- Track record preparing client presentations and contributing to pitches
- Knowledge of local regulatory practices relevant to rates markets
- Entrepreneurial mindset with strong analytical and quantitative orientation
