Job Summary
Product Design Scientist (EMEA) at Bayer Crop Science focused on designing improved germplasm through genomic, phenomic, and environmental data, delivering data-driven insights and prescriptions to accelerate breeding; leads cross-functional collaboration, leverages model outputs to improve quantitative traits, drives technology implementation and process improvements, and contributes to crop-cycle timing adherence. Requires advanced advanced training in genetics/data science (PhD or MS with experience), experience in cross-functional collaboration and leading stakeholder teams, fluency in English (German advantageous), and willingness to relocate if needed. Role may be based in France or the Netherlands with a hybrid work arrangement.
Required Qualifications
- PhD in Genetics, Plant Breeding, Quantitative Genetics, Bioinformatics, Statistics, Data Science, or related field with first experience in the relevant field, or an MS degree with several years of experience in breeding programs, genetics, or applied data science projects
