Job Summary
Global Financial Crime Compliance Officer role within the EMEA Compliance team, focused on supporting AML, sanctions, and client due diligence for the Amsterdam and Brussels branches; collaborate with MLROs and EMEA GFCC teams to ensure robust controls and regulatory alignment across Dutch, Belgian, and broader EEA requirements, including integration of local CDD into KYC processes, SAR and sanctions escalations, and reporting to local authorities; role emphasizes advising on financial crime compliance across Investment Banking, Corporate Banking, Wholesale Payments, and Wealth Management with a senior level of expertise and independent, proactive problem-solving.
Required Qualifications
- Fluency in Dutch and English
- Demonstrated knowledge of Dutch, Belgian, and EEA AML and sanctions regulations
- Experience in financial crime compliance
- Strong communication skills to convey complex concepts to diverse audiences
- Proven ability to build effective relationships in a large, international organization
- Proactive problem-solving and ownership of issues
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
- Experience supporting MLROs or acting as Deputy MLRO (preferred)
- Familiarity with compliance monitoring and reporting tools (preferred)
- Additional language skills relevant to the EEA region (preferred)
- Professional certifications in compliance, AML, or financial crime prevention (preferred)
- Experience within the financial services industry (preferred)
