Job Summary
EMC Engineering Delegate (DAD/DAR) to lead certification activities and make compliance findings under delegated authority. Responsibilities include acting as DAD/DAR delegate for EMC compliance, reviewing, approving, and signing off certification documentation, leading certification demonstration activities and test validations, interpreting and applying certification regulations (TCCA / FAA / EASA), interfacing with regulatory authorities to support certification strategy, approving engineering changes to ensure continued airworthiness, and mentoring engineering teams on certification requirements. Key technical skills include EMC/EMI, transmission lines, signal integrity, DO-160, SAE ARPs, and regulatory frameworks, with a track record of independent compliance findings and effective communication with regulators and cross-functional teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- 8–10+ years of EMC experience in aerospace
- Must hold or be eligible for DAD/DAR delegation (Transport Canada)
- Strong experience in certification programs (Part 25 / CAR 525)
- Advanced knowledge of EMC/EMI, transmission lines, signal integrity
- Deep understanding of DO-160, SAE ARPs, regulatory frameworks
- Proven ability to make compliance findings independently
- Strong communication with regulators and cross-functional teams
