EMC Engineer - 2nd Shift

Job Summary
Conduct independent testing and evaluation of equipment under test against U.S., Canadian, and international EMC/EMI standards. Read schematics, validate project scope, and develop test plans while operating instruments such as spectrum analyzers and oscilloscopes. Set up and operate test equipment, perform simple repairs, and manage sample logistics including logging, packaging, and shipment. Communicate project status and results to clients, sales, and management, and provide sales support during client visits. Requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering, valid driver's license, and ability to travel up to 15%. Schedule is 2nd shift from 4pm to 12am.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
- 2nd Shift - 4pm to 12am
- Demonstrated experience with U.S., Canadian, and other International EMC/EMI compliance standards, i.e., ANSI, CSA, UL, EN, IEC
- Must have a valid, unrestricted driver's license and safe driving record
- Excellent interpersonal and demonstrated communication skills, both verbally and written
- Must be self-motivated and able to work independently in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment with excellent organization and time-management skills
- Microsoft Office software experience is a must have
- Must be customer focused and quality driven
- Ability to travel up to 15% as business needs dictate
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or electrical technology
- Hands-on Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) lab testing experience
- EMC standards (FCC Part 15 Subpart B, Subpart C, EN/IEC 55032, 55035, 61000-4-series)
- Prior project management experience
