Job Summary
Design and implement firmware for manufacturing equipment while troubleshooting and debugging embedded systems in production environments. Develop and maintain software for real-time operating systems (RTOS) and collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate new components. Optimize embedded code for performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness, and create technical documentation for these systems. This role requires a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering with 3+ years of experience in embedded software for manufacturing, proficiency in C/C++ for microcontrollers and RTOS, and familiarity with industrial communication protocols like Modbus, EtherCAT, and PROFINET. Hands-on experience with hardware debugging tools and version control systems is essential.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in embedded software development for manufacturing environments
- Proficiency in C/C++ programming for microcontrollers and real-time operating systems (RTOS)
- Experience with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, EtherCAT, PROFINET)
- Hands-on experience with hardware debugging tools (e.g., oscilloscopes, logic analyzers)
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile development methodologies
