Job Summary
Embedded Systems and Platform Engineer (Principal Engineer) in India responsible for leading ownership, transition, and evolution of embedded software platforms for printing technologies. Drive end-to-end platform ownership, cross-site coordination, and migration from legacy systems to scalable architectures. Lead hardware–software integration, FPGA design, system-level debugging, and production-readiness; build and mentor an India-based engineering team and coordinate with global R&D and manufacturing stakeholders. The role emphasizes platform modernization, collaboration across distributed teams, and ensuring documentation and lifecycle planning for sustainability of embedded platforms.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
- 12+ years of experience in embedded systems, firmware, or platform software development
- Strong expertise in embedded systems design
- Hands-on experience with FPGA design and development
- Hardware–software integration and real-time systems
- Deep understanding of system architecture and platform design
- Proven ability to debug and resolve complex system-level issues
- Leadership in driving large-scale engineering programs
- Experience leading cross-site transitions
- Experience with manufacturing systems or industrial platforms
- Experience in building and scaling engineering teams
- Stakeholder collaboration and roadmap alignment
