Embedded System Engineer

Job Summary
Design, test, and integrate electronics, firmware, and software for additive manufacturing, autonomous systems, and sensor projects. Assist senior engineers with day-to-day activities, including guiding a team of engineering technicians, and contribute to engineering documentation and test procedures. Works within a multidisciplinary team to advance hardware/software integration and prototype development in a fast-paced, research-focused environment. Demonstrates hands-on hardware design and software development across embedded systems, sensors, and control software, with emphasis on delivering robust, verifiable engineering solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or Computer Science
- 3-5 years relevant experience
- Experience with programming embedded systems microcontrollers and FPGA (TI, Arduino, Microchip, Xilinx)
- Experience with integrating sensors (accelerometers, gyros, thermocouples, encoders)
- Experience developing software in C, C++, Python
- Experience with computer vision (OpenCV)
- Experience developing GUI applications
- Experience developing backend services (web servers, RESTful servers)
- Ability to use Microsoft Office products
- Ability to design analog and digital circuits
- Proficiency with Altium Designer
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to obtain/maintain a final DoD Secret clearance; US citizenship required
- Authorization to work for employers in the U.S. without sponsorship
