Embedded Software Test Coordinator

Job Summary

Lead and manage a global software test organization, defining strategy, scope, plans, and release-readiness criteria for cloud, edge, and vehicle products. Coordinate manual and automated testing activities within continuous integration environments, including unit, integration, system, regression, and performance testing. Manage vehicle-level testing across subsystems, ensuring traceability from requirements to release evidence while driving defect triage and analysis using cloud-based telemetry. Produce quality dashboards, risk assessments, and status reports for stakeholders. Mentor junior engineers on device flashing, defect reporting, and automated test systems while fostering a strong quality culture. Ensure compliance with Automotive SPICE, ISO 26262, and ISO/SAE 21434 standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related technical field
  • Proven experience leading, managing, or coordinating software testing teams in a global environment
  • Experience in automotive software, embedded systems, ECUs, connected vehicles, cloud platforms, edge computing, or device software
  • Strong experience managing manual testing, test automation, and continuous testing in CI/CD environments
  • Experience coordinating vehicle-level software testing, pilots, or field-validation activities
  • Experience with test planning, test execution, defect management, traceability, quality metrics, and release reporting
  • Familiarity with software development life cycles, preferably V-Model, Agile, or hybrid delivery models
  • Proficiency with tools such as Jira, DOORS, ALM, or equivalent
  • Strong written and spoken English

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with SIL, MIL, HIL, bench, and vehicle testing
  • Knowledge of embedded software development in C/C++ and automated testing frameworks
  • Familiarity with automotive protocols and tools, including CAN, LIN, Ethernet, UDS, CANoe/CANalyzer, or vehicle diagnostics
  • Experience with cloud-based logging, telemetry, analytics, or remote diagnostics
  • Knowledge of Automotive SPICE, ISO 26262, automotive cybersecurity, and requirements management
  • ISTQB, Scrum, PMP, or equivalent certification
