Job Summary
Mid-level Embedded Software Engineer responsible for developing, modifying, and maintaining embedded and real-time software supporting critical U.S. Government communications systems. Collaborate with systems engineers and senior software engineers in a secure facility to perform integration, testing, debugging, defect resolution, and documentation of software and system requirements. Position involves configuring and maintaining software development and test environments, participating in configuration management and quality assurance activities, troubleshooting existing applications and systems, and contributing to sustainment efforts. Requires hands-on embedded experience, on-site work in a secure environment, and active TS/SCI clearance. Skills emphasized include C/C++, RTOS and BSP exposure, debugging and testing, serial communications familiarity, and willingness to learn DoD standards; optional exposure to C#/.NET for internal tools or test utilities.
Required Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI clearance
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field
- 2–5 years of experience in software or embedded systems development
- Experience with C and/or C++
- Familiarity with embedded systems, real-time software, or system-level development
- Ability to work on-site in a secure environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
