Embedded Software Engineer II

Job Summary
Execute the full development lifecycle including requirements analysis, software architecture, design, algorithm development, unit and integration testing, and embedded software creation. Coordinate with cross-functional teams across hardware, mechanical, product, and system engineering to define, debug, and test products meeting customer needs. Design and implement new features for embedded platforms, including camera, SoC, sensor, and chipset driver development. Participate in code reviews, estimation, and planning meetings while providing technical mentorship to junior team members. Assist in recruiting and screening candidates as required. Maintain high standards of work, ensure software compliance, and safely perform all duties in accordance with company policies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline
- 2+ years of technical experience in all phases of software development lifecycle
- Detailed, ongoing, current knowledge of electronics components and systems
- High proficiency in C, C++ languages, assembly languages, and real time operating systems
- In-depth knowledge of embedded systems
- Must be able to balance multiple responsibilities and have strong multi-tasking skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Desired Qualifications
- Strong Linux Experience
- Experience working on video, audio, signal processing and compression
- Experience working on Camera development and Image Signal Processing
- Experience working on Wi-Fi and BLE
- Familiarity with tools like Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, JIRA, Azure DevOps etc
- Familiarity with Agile processes
- Familiarity with static analysis tools, code coverage metrics and unit test generation
