Job Summary
Develop software components that detect and track new targets, process data with high throughput, and monitor system health for autonomous fault recovery. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance product capabilities, develop performant code, and participate in design reviews. Validate and verify design and system-level capabilities while improving the existing codebase as an individual contributor. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering, 3+ years of industry experience, and proficiency in Python and C++. The position is onsite in Syracuse, NY with 10% travel, and candidates must be able to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering, or a Bachelor's Degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering with strong programming background
- 3+ years industry experience
- Experience in Python and C++ application development
- Good understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and implementation best practices
- 10% travel
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance, if required for the position
Desired Qualifications
- Experience developing for and working on embedded Linux Operating Systems (Ubuntu and PetaLinux a plus)
- Familiarity with Radar Systems, Communication Systems, and Signal Processing
- Experience with analysis methods and tools developed in Python and MATLAB
