Job Summary
Develop and maintain safety-critical embedded software according to Functional Safety requirements, analyzing Technical Safety Requirements and designing fault detection strategies. Implement software safety mechanisms and diagnostics while creating architecture documents for safety-related functions. Perform unit and integration testing, conduct code reviews, and maintain end-to-end traceability between requirements and test cases. Collaborate with System, Hardware, and Test teams to support safety audits and resolve safety-related issues. Integrate AUTOSAR BSW components and configure microcontrollers using industry-standard tools.
Required Qualifications
- B.E. / B.Tech in Electronics, Electrical, Embedded Systems, or related engineering discipline
- 5 to 8 years of hands-on experience in AUTOSAR and embedded software development
- Strong programming skills in C/C++
- Experience with automotive software development and ECU architecture
- Good understanding of Functional Safety standards such as ISO 26262
- Familiarity with software development lifecycle and V-Model processes
- Strong understanding of AUTOSAR layered architecture: MCAL, ECU Abstraction, Services, RTE, and COM stack
- Knowledge on CAN/CAN-FD, SPI communication protocols
- Proficiency in C programming for embedded targets (MISRA-C awareness preferred)
- Working knowledge of automotive development processes: ASPICE, ISO 26262 (Functional Safety)
- Experience working on ASIL A/B/C/D projects
- Knowledge of Automotive SPICE
- TÜV Functional Safety Certification is an advantage
