Embedded Software Developer – MedTech

Job Summary
Develop and maintain embedded software for medical devices within regulated environments, contributing to the full software development lifecycle and ensuring compliance with medical device standards. Collaborate on software architecture and design, perform verification/validation and unit testing, contribute to risk management, support regulatory compliance and software documentation, and work with system engineers, quality teams, and cross-functional teams to deliver safety-critical medical devices. Strong Embedded C skills and hands-on experience near the hardware are essential; familiarity with IEC 62304 and regulated development processes is a plus. Location: Göteborg, Sweden; hybrid work arrangement.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in embedded software development
- Experience from MedTech, Medical Device, Life Science, or other highly regulated industries
- Strong programming skills in Embedded C
- Experience developing software for embedded systems at a deep, low-level hardware layer
- Understanding of software development in safety-critical or regulated environments
- Experience with software verification, validation, and testing activities
- Experience working throughout the complete software development lifecycle
- Ability to work in multidisciplinary product development teams
