Job Summary
Embedded Security Engineer (Starlink) to design and build security infrastructure for Starlink, including cryptographic services and other security-critical services. Develop security features for Starlink systems (router, dish, gateways, satellites); design security into factory processes and provide network services in support of this; maintain production systems and improve security posture through implementation and cross-team recommendations; build prototypes and test security improvements. Requires knowledge of software development, cryptography, network security, OS/security for large-scale systems, secure/authenticated boot, incident response and vulnerability research, plus experience with languages such as Python, C++, or Go. Preference for experience with security hardware (TPMs/HSMs), understanding of TCP/IP and UDP protocols, and ability to work independently and in a team. Optional advanced degree and strong communication skills are valued. ITAR considerations and a must-have willingness to work extended hours as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or another STEM discipline; OR 2+ years of professional experience in security software development in lieu of a degree
- Experience with one or more software development languages (i.e. Python, C++, Golang)
- Experience designing and implementing security solutions for operating systems, distributed systems, or other enterprise/large-scale infrastructure
