Job Summary
Embedded Lending Product Manager (VP) who will own the product vision and end-to-end lifecycle for Embedded Lending within Payments, leading cross-functional collaboration with engineering, design, operations, risk, legal, and compliance. Responsible for translating customer needs into strategy and roadmap, managing vendor ecosystems and commercial terms, defining SLAs, establishing escalation paths, and monitoring KPIs (conversion, funding timelines, uptime, customer satisfaction). Drives partner governance, remediation, and continuous improvement to deliver scalable, reliable lending experiences across platforms. Focuses on customer value, policy adherence, risk management, and strong communication with senior leadership to balance delivery with risk controls. Responsibilities include discovery-to-launch execution, vendor onboarding and governance, KPI definition and dashboards, and reporting on impact to client outcomes and revenue.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of product management experience delivering digital products from discovery through launch and iteration
- Experience in lending, payments, or embedded finance, with demonstrated ability to translate customer needs into product strategy and execution
- Track record of managing third-party vendors or strategic technology partners with commercial accountability
- Ability to define, monitor, and act on KPIs; experience building dashboards and translating data into decisions and execution plans
- Strong cross-functional leadership skills across engineering, operations, risk, legal, compliance, and external partners
- Experience navigating regulatory, controls, and risk considerations in financial services product delivery
- Strong commercial judgment paired with a client-first approach to prioritization and decision-making
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across delivery forums, partner negotiations, and senior leadership updates
- Ability to identify, assess, and mitigate third-party risks, including concentration risk, regulatory exposure, data privacy, and business continuity
- Experience leading vendor selection processes, commercial negotiations, and ongoing governance operating models
- Experience defining SLAs and performance scorecards for external partners and driving measurable improvements over time
- Familiarity with embedded lending journeys, including origination, underwriting/decisioning, funding, servicing, and customer support touchpoints
- Experience operating with experimentation and continuous optimization practices (e.g., test-and-learn, funnel optimization)
- Demonstrated experience improving application conversion, decisioning speed, funding timelines, or platform reliability through product-led initiatives
- Experience building scalable partner ecosystems across multiple platforms or distribution channels
- Familiarity with third-party risk management practices and operational resilience expectations for critical vendors
