Embedded/Hardware Test Automation Engineer

Job Summary

Design and develop testers for power electronic embedded systems, collaborating with hardware, firmware, and system architects to define test requirements and interfaces. Implement and maintain CI/CD pipeline automation for firmware regression and manufacturing testers while managing test data, analyzing results, and providing actionable feedback to stakeholders. Debug and troubleshoot software and hardware integration issues, develop quality metrics, and maintain documentation across the full product development lifecycle. This onsite role in Allen, Texas requires 5+ years of embedded testing experience with LabVIEW, TestStand, and HIL platforms.

Required Qualifications

  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring employer-sponsored visa sponsorship now or in the future.
  • At this time, Sol-Ark is unable to consider candidates on F1-OPT, H1B or CPT status.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in testing embedded products.
  • MUST HAVE embedded and/or hardware testing experience.
  • This is NOT a software testing position.
  • Bachelor's in Computer Engineering or Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or a closely related field from an accredited US University.
  • Proficiency in programming languages like LabVIEW and TestStand.
  • At least 5 years of experience in embedded development or test.
  • Hands-on experience with HIL platforms.
  • Proficiency in debugging and troubleshooting embedded systems using hardware and software debugging tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet project deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

Desired Qualifications

  • Knowledge of power electronics and control algorithms.
  • Experience in testing software for real-time control applications.
  • Understanding of signal conditioning, instrumentation, and data acquisition hardware.
  • Experience with CAD tools for design review.
  • Familiarity with at least one of the following cloud environments: AWS, Azure, GCP.
