Job Summary
Lead and participate in the design and development of complex hardware systems, including circuit boards, components, and peripherals, ensuring they meet performance and quality standards. Create and evaluate prototypes, conduct feasibility studies, and refine designs based on test results. Research and select appropriate components, chips, and materials while considering cost and availability. Develop test plans, conduct thorough testing, and validate hardware designs to ensure functionality, reliability, and compliance with industry standards. Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including design specifications, schematics, and reports. Work closely with software engineers, firmware developers, and other cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of hardware and software components. Identify and resolve hardware-related issues during product development and post-production phases.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, or a related field. (Electronics/Instrumentation Engineering)
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in hardware design and development, with a proven track record of delivering successful products
- Proficiency in hardware design tools (e.g., Altium)
- experience with FPGA and microcontroller-based systems
- In-depth knowledge of hardware components, PCB design, signal integrity, power management, and EMC/EMI considerations
- Experience in testing methodologies, debugging hardware issues, and using lab equipment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively to address complex engineering challenges
- Willingness to adapt to changing requirements, project priorities, and technology advancements
- Familiarity with relevant safety and regulatory standards in hardware design and development
