Job Summary
Embedded Devices Software Solution Sales Manager (APAC) drives growth through prospecting and strategic account development for Canonical's Ubuntu and Ubuntu Core portfolios in embedded devices, IoT, and industrial applications. Responsible for building territory plans, developing pipeline, engaging senior-level stakeholders, and closing contracts to meet quarterly and annual bookings targets. Requires selling complex technical solutions (enterprise software, cloud, virtualization, and container technologies) to executives in embedded/Linux-enabled industries. Travel regionally for client engagement and internationally for company events twice a year; distributed work environment with in-person sprints and a strong emphasis on data-driven forecasting and collaboration with Field Engineers and cross-functional teams.
Required Qualifications
- Exceptional academic track record from high school and university
- Undergraduate degree in a technical subject
- Field sales experience in embedded Linux, embedded software, or enterprise software
- Track record of achievement of sales targets and large account wins
- Ability to travel internationally (twice a year) and up to 50% for customer meetings
- Excellent English (written and spoken) and presentation skills
- Experience with Linux (Debian or Ubuntu preferred)
- Willingness to travel up to 50% for customer meetings and industry events
- Detail oriented with effective follow-up
