Perform embalming, disinfecting, dressing, preparing, and casketing of the deceased with precision, respect, and adherence to OSHA standards. Make removals and transfers from the place of death with professionalism, ensuring families experience comfort and healing. Initiate compassionate first contact to gather essential information and uphold compliance with federal, state, and local regulations governing funeral service. This role is based at the Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home in Decatur, IL. We offer a salary of $55,000–$65,000/year, along with a Sign-On Bonus or Relocation Assistance for qualified candidates. Current Illinois Funeral Director/Embalmer License or the ability to reciprocate is required, along with one year of funeral industry experience.
