Job Summary
Strategic and data-driven Email Marketing Specialist to join Daystar’s Digital Engagement team. Lead end-to-end email campaigns (broadcasts, devotional series, fundraising drives, event promotions, partner updates) from concept to analysis. Manage audience segmentation based on viewer behavior, donation history, content engagement, and demographics. Write, edit, and design engaging email copy that reflects Daystar’s voice and complies with brand guidelines. Build and maintain automated email journeys (welcome series, nurture streams, re-engagement) using marketing automation tools. Conduct A/B testing on subject lines, content, CTAs, and send times; monitor deliverability, engagement, and ROI; translate data into actionable strategy. Serve as the day-to-day expert for the email marketing platform (e.g., Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Klaviyo, HubSpot, Mailchimp) ensuring list hygiene and technical execution; ensure CAN-SPAM, GDPR compliance. Requires 3+ years in email marketing, proficiency with major platforms, strong HTML/CSS, list management, segmentation, analytics, and a heart for ministry.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on email marketing experience
- Experience with major email marketing platforms (Salesforce Marketing Cloud, HubSpot, Klaviyo, Mailchimp)
- Strong HTML/CSS skills for email template customization and troubleshooting
- Experience with list management, segmentation, and marketing automation
- Familiarity with analytics platforms (Google Analytics) and integrating email data
- Excellent copywriting and proofreading skills for spiritual inspiration and direct response
- Analytical mindset to derive insights from data and translate into strategy
- Attention to detail in list management, testing, and QA
- Understanding of donor/audience lifecycle marketing principles
- Soft skills: good communication, collaboration, self-motivation, organization
- Preferred: Salesforce CRM or Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP) integration experience
- Preferred: knowledge of Christian media, broadcasting cycles, faith-based audience engagement
- Preferred: graphic design tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva) for basic email asset creation
- Certification in email marketing platforms or digital marketing
