Job Summary
Nursing Faculty member (full-time) in the Nursing program responsible for 30 hours of face-to-face didactics per semester plus 168 hours (or 198 total) of face-to-face clinical/lab/simulation per semester. Responsibilities include curriculum development/modification and assessment, maintaining current nursing practice, student advising, and active participation in department/college activities, committees, and service. Faculty contribute to course and curriculum design, implement student-centered learning, stay current in the field, and support program goals, with opportunities for campus organizations and service. Campus location: Bangor, ME; early review of applications begins June 22, 2026; eligible for state/federal benefits and campus resources.
Required Qualifications
- MS in Nursing required (will accept BSN if applicant is currently enrolled in MSN program)
- Licensed RN in the State of Maine
- Minimum 3-5 years of clinical nursing experience
- CPR certification required
- Demonstrated teaching ability
- Willingness and ability to integrate technology and active student learning techniques into teaching practice
- 3-5 years nursing experience in medical/surgical area
- Ideal candidates have recent clinical experience including SIM experience (preferred)
