Job Summary
Scrap, sort, and load dishes, glassware, and utensils into the dish machine, then wash items by hand as needed using proper water temperature and sanitizer. Break down, clean, and sanitize the dish machine at the end of the shift while maintaining a clean, orderly dish room and storage areas. Assist with sweeping, scrubbing floors, spot cleaning surfaces, and cleaning the dumpster and refuse areas. Communicate with kitchen staff regarding nightly specials, guest flow, and special events. Complete required training modules and adhere to sanitation, safety, and company policies. Work flexible part-time shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays, standing 100% of the shift and lifting up to 35 pounds regularly.
Required Qualifications
- Able to operate dish machine to company and manufacturer specifications
- Manual dexterity to quickly load and unload items
- Strong team-work orientation, coupled with the ability to work independently
- Able to work a part-time, flexible schedule that varies according to business need
- Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Able to stand 100% of shift
- Able to reach, bend, stoop, and lift and carry up to 35 pounds on a regular basis and up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Exposure to cleaning solutions
- Frequent exposure to water
- Occasional exposure to heat and cold, inside or out
Desired Qualifications
- Prior dishwashing experience preferred
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Basic English communication skills
- Clean and professional appearance
