Job Summary
Scrap, sort, and stack dishes to be washed, then wash glassware, flatware, utensils, pots, and pans using a dish machine with proper water temperature and sanitizer measurements. Wash items by hand as needed and place clean equipment in designated storage areas. Break down, clean, and sanitize the dish machine at the end of the shift while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized dish room. Assist with spot cleaning furniture, floors, carpets, walls, and countertops throughout the building, including powers washing floor mats and cleaning trash cans and dumpsters. Set up stations according to standard procedures and communicate with kitchen staff regarding nightly specials and guest flow. Complete required training modules and adhere to sanitation and safety regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Able to operate dish machine to company and manufacturer specifications
- Manual dexterity to quickly load and unload items
- Strong team-work orientation, coupled with the ability to work independently
- Able to work a part-time, flexible schedule that varies according to business need
- Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Able to stand 100% of shift
- Able to reach, bend, stoop, and lift and carry up to 35 pounds on a regular basis and up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Exposure to cleaning solutions
- Frequent exposure to water
- Occasional exposure to heat and cold, inside or out
Desired Qualifications
- Prior dishwashing experience preferred
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Basic English communication skills
- Clean and professional appearance
