Job Summary
Carry out all Extra Low Voltage jobs including reactive repairs and Planned Preventive Maintenance for Access Control, Door Entry, CCTV, and Intruder Alarm systems. Supervise team members and junior engineers while ensuring all works comply with Current NSI & CAI approved codes of practice. Assist in the office as required, attend appraisal, staff, H&S, and team meetings, and find engineering solutions that maximize project benefit within specification and standard remits. Travel to various sites and be prepared for out-of-hours work agreed in advance.
Required Qualifications
- Extensive knowledge and experience in door entry and access control systems
- Extensive knowledge and experience in CCTV systems
- Extensive knowledge and experience in Intruder Alarm
- Extensive knowledge of Door entry systems
- Drivers Licence
- FESS Systems Operative/Commissioning or ECS Card (Trade Identified)
- Asbestos Awareness Training
- Hazard/Risk awareness CITB Course H& S awareness
- Working at height in house training
- BS7671: 18th Edition
- Knowledge of the EWC employee's handbook, EWC policies and processes and EWC ISO system of works
- Knowledge of the current legislation and good practice across the industry
- Understanding of the H&S at works act, current H&S legislation applicable to construction
- The ability to travel to a range of sites
- Appreciation that there might be out of hours working, agreed in advance
Desired Qualifications
- Any additional knowledge of CCTV Systems
- Any additional knowledge of Fibre and Co-Axial IRS (TV and Satellite distribution)
- Any additional knowledge of Intruder alarm
- Structured cabling – Fiber optic and copper solutions
- IRS coaxial and Fiber distribution – (this is tv and satellite signal distribution)
- NSI - PD6662:2017 (Intruder Alarm Systems) with BS 8243 and Risk Assessment
- Manual Handling
- 1st Aider
- NSI - Design, Installation and Maintenance of CCTV Systems
