Job Summary
ELV Design/Presales Engineer responsible for end-to-end presales activities for Transportation and Smart Infrastructure projects, specifically covering ELV systems such as Fire Alarm, BMS, CCTV, Access Control, Public Address System, Parking Management System, Structured Cabling System, network Infrastructure, etc. You will engage with OEMs and subcontractors, prepare techno-commercial costing sheets and proposals, review tender documents, derive BOQ, perform technical and commercial risk assessment, coordinate with internal teams (Ops/Post-Sales), maintain SFDC records, and support design council reviews while aligning with KPIs like Quality, OTD, Win Rate, and Productivity.
Required Qualifications
- BE degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electronics, or Electronics & Communication
- Strong knowledge of ELV & ICT Systems (Fire Alarm System, CCTV, Access Control, PAVA, Intrusion Detection Systems, Intercom Systems, Gate Barriers, Car parking system, Structured Cabling, Network Switches)
- Must have India projects' presales and estimation experience on Transportation and Smart City
- Design know-how of the ELV & ICT Systems
- Know-how in ITMS, ATCS, traffic enforcement, surveillance, VMS, and Integrated Command & Control Centre (ICCC) solutions
- Capable of understanding ELV Systems specifications and doing product selections along with the deviation/compliance statements
- Basic knowledge of Enforcement Systems such as ANPR/LPR, Red Light Violation Detection (RLVD), Speed Violation Detection (SVD)
- Design understanding of traffic controllers and field sensors
- Experience in preparing HLD, LLD, system sizing, network diagrams, storage plans, and availability models
- Capability to conduct customer workshops and technical training sessions
- Must be able to work on complex costing sheets covering Material, Engineering, Operations, and Subcon costs
- Skill in articulating offered solutions in a structured way through high-standard technical proposal documents
- Must have a strong network with the 3rd party vendors in India
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to learn quickly
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to demonstrate effective leadership and ownership in project and customer engagements
- Preferred 10+ years of relevant experience in Transportation and Smart Infra Projects’ ELV solutioning
