Job Summary
Provide comprehensive housing case management services to individuals experiencing homelessness at the Elmwood Shelter, focusing on supporting clients with complex needs. Advocate on behalf of residents with local social service agencies, landlords, and funding sources to facilitate access to housing and essential resources. Assist residents with attending critical appointments and navigate community services while developing community-building efforts to foster engagement and stability. Maintain a clean driving record, valid license, and reliable transportation to travel within the CVOEO service area. Submit a cover letter detailing how you will advance organizational inclusion goals.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline
- Two years of community service experience
- Experience with database entry and office technology
- Commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment
- Knowledge of homelessness, recovery, housing resources, and best practices in integrated care (e.g. trauma-informed care, recovery-oriented systems of care, harm reduction)
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Bilingual abilities
- Clean driving records
- Valid driver's license
- Access to reliable private transportation
- Ability and willingness to travel within the CVOEO service area
- Ability to uphold health and safety standards
Desired Qualifications
- Combination of education and experience from which comparable skills and knowledge have been acquired
- English major preferred
